AviPlus Handrearing PHASE 1.
PHASE 1 is formulated for the specific needs of parrot chicks in the first 2 weeks of life. It contains appropriate ratios of fat, protein, vitamins and amino acids to help babies grow well.
AviPlus Handrearing PHASE 2.
PHASE 2 should be used from about 2 weeks of age to 6 weeks old (approximately). As babies get a bit older their dietary needs change, AviPlus accounts for this more precisely than other brands by altering the formula to suit each stage of development.
AviPlus Handrearing FINISHER.
The FINISHER formula is slightly different again from PHASE 1 and PHASE 2 in that it contains a higher fat content which will allow the bird to wean without much weight loss. It is also more economical to use than PHASE 1 or 2 when the babies start consuming more food.
AviPlus Special Lorikeet Nectar.
AviPlus Special Lorikeet Nectar (Lory Nectar) can be fed wet or dry.
A mixing ratio of 5 parts water to 1 part powder means it is a very economical food to use. In our experience this lory nectar does not separate as much as other brands do so once properly mixed it is easier for the birds to reach the food rather than having to get through too much water. We have bred all sorts of lorries on this mix including Stellas, Duvenbodes, Duskies, Goldies, Ornates and the more common Rainbow and Redcollared Lorikeets to name a few.
We recommend feeding as a wet mix on a daily basis. Care should be taken not to leave the wet mix in the cage for too long (more than a day - especially in warm weather) because the mix can go off over time once mixed with water.
